Job summary

Textron's Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA offers a 10-week summer internship for an Industrial Engineer. You will gain hands-on experience on real projects alongside experienced professionals and contribute to manufacturing improvements.

As an intern, you will learn to summarize issues, develop crew/load plans, estimate times, and assist in cost reduction ideas. The program provides mentorship, training, and a prepaid stipend.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college degree or certification program.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T, CAD and process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Summarize manufacturing issues by category for Production supervisor.
• Develop crew/load plans and reports.
• Estimate time values in appropriate electronic systems.
• Provide schedule variance figures to manufacturing and weekly performance reports explanations.
• Implement cost reduction ideas (Method Improvements).
• Provide Weekly Activity reports.
• Ensure visual factory information is always current.
• Time standards applications, Schedule and cost analysis, Manufacturing cost savings.
