Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Materials Supervisor to oversee all internal material flow from receiving through line-side presentation for production, including end-of-line pick/pack/ship and intra-plant material movements.

The role focuses on driving continuous improvement in material handling, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and timely transactional reporting while coordinating with Quality, Purchasing and Production to address quality and delivery issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of materials leadership and 2 years leading teams.
• Strong relationship-building and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely material flow within the facility and timely delivery for shipment of parts to other locations.
• Develop and implement standard processes and strategies that enable production efficiency improvements.
• Lead, supervise, and develop materials staff through education, training, coaching, mentoring and certification.
• Manage and optimize daily warehousing operations including staging, cycle count, and storage of materials.
• Oversee inventory management and control, accuracy, and established inventory guidelines.
