Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Tupelo, MS seeks a Material Control Coordinator to manage incoming materials through inspection, stockroom and production processes. You will support work orders, schedules and returns to ensure timely parts delivery.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of experience in production/material control.
• Understanding of material control concepts and stockroom procedures.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with SAP and inventory control processes.

Responsibilities

• Review inventory and work orders; ensure traceability of material and/or parts.
• Coordinate with departments to support materials requirements.
• Monitor and restock inventory on the shop floor to maintain appropriate levels.
• Update daily movement of parts and report back orders.
• Deliver materials to designated production areas and perform stock transfers.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Verify item conformance and processing of vendor paperwork.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and procedures.
