Job summary

Raytheon, based in Goleta, CA, is seeking a Material Program Manager to own materials management for capital projects, driving cost/schedule/quality, and coordinating with IPTs to ensure affordability targets are met.

You will lead Design to Cost and supplier evaluations, develop the Material Program Strategy, and serve as liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams; domestic travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Project Management, or related work experience.
• Experience working with technical requirements and Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital supply chain activities and advise leadership on material strategies.
• Develop clear Statements of Work for equipment, tooling, or manufacturing systems with milestones built in to incentivize program/factory targets.
• Track capital supply chain budgets and material forecasting.
• Coordinate and lead various technical reviews with internal teams and suppliers; PDR, CDR, FAT, SAT, etc.
• Support supplier selection, proposal evaluations, and technical assessments during sourcing events.
• Develop and execute risk mitigation plans to meet factory / capital team objectives.
• Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations and finance.
• Domestic travel is required up to 20% of the time.
• Apply Lean and 6 Sigma concepts to improve departmental, factory related, and cross-departmental processes.
