Job summary

New York Air Brake in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a Material Planner to manage production and material flow, aligning with the Master Production Schedule and supporting capacity planning. The role emphasizes data integrity across systems and collaboration with Purchasing and Expediting to maintain timeliness.

You will monitor lead times, lot sizing, and dispatch priorities, while providing management with accurate KPIs to optimize cost, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Global knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems and modules, including module interfacing.
• SAP system knowledge strongly preferred.
• Detailed understanding of: Shop Floor Control, CRP, MPS, MRP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monthly production shortage reports using the Master Production Schedule and inputs from Purchasing/Expediting.
• Ensure data integrity of Work Order Maintenance system modules, including release of work orders, material availability, priority of dispatch, and variance data.
• Maintain floor stock and WIP inventory transactions, scrap transactions, and lot sizing.
• Provide management with metrics to define position to MPS and MRP, including past due hours and delays.
• Plan capacity requirements to ensure schedule adherence across manpower, machines, overtime, and outsourcing.
• Support and assist colleagues and perform other duties as assigned.
