Job summary

Knorr Brake Company is seeking a Material Planner to manage production and material flow to meet the Master Production Schedule. You will coordinate data across capacity planning, work orders, and dispatch control, ensuring data integrity and timely material availability.

The role emphasizes adherence to ISO standards, strong communication, and collaboration with purchasing and expediting teams. On-site Westminster, MD, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with MPS, MRP, capacity planning, and WIP control.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain data integrity and manage production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monthly production shortage report utilizing the Master Production Schedule and inputs from the purchasing and expediting groups.
• Ensure data integrity of the Work Order Maintenance system module, including release of, material availability for, priority of dispatch, and variance data points.
• Maintain systems daily, including floor stock and WIP inventory transactions, scrap transactions, and lot sizing.
• Provide management with measurements that accurately define our position to the MPS and MRP, including reporting past due hours, anticipated delays, and tooling or support problems.
• Plan capacity requirements to ensure schedule adherence (manpower, machines, overtime, off-load, outsourcing).
• Ensure a smooth flow of production that optimizes cost, quality, schedule adherence, and productivity.
• Provide support and assistance to other colleagues, as directed.
