Job summary

Ulbrich Stainless Steels and Specialty Metals in Wallingford, CT, seeks a Material Layout Processor to plan and schedule raw material processing and equipment use. You will review orders, optimally lay out material, and ensure on-time delivery while minimizing scrap and costs.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years in manufacturing or metal processing, with strong math, communication, and computer skills. On-site, Monday–Friday, with competitive base pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 3 years in manufacturing/metal processing.
• Ability to perform moderately complex math calculations and conversions.
• Good written and oral communication skills; proficient computer use.

Responsibilities

• Review orders, pre-costing data, specs, schedules, and inventory.
• Plan material layout, optimize utilization, and minimize scrap.
• Coordinate with scheduling and inventory control; perform re-layouts as needed.
