Job summary

You will review orders, pre-costing data, and specifications, ensuring efficient material utilization and minimized scrap. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years in manufacturing or metal processing, with strong math, communication, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 3+ years related experience in manufacturing or metal processing.
• Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations including percentages, square footage, fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of machine operation processes and general machining terminology.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review customer orders and pre-costing data to plan production and layout.
• Schedule raw material processing, inventory, and equipment utilization to meet delivery requirements.
• Perform material yield calculations and estimate scrap; determine restock needs.
• Coordinate with scheduling and inventory control; perform re-layouts to maximize material utilization.
• Review and evaluate production, equipment, process, or material modifications.
