Job summary

Bel Brands in Nampa, ID is seeking a Finished Goods Shipping and Receiving Material Handler on C shift (Thursday-Sunday and Wednesday 7am–7pm). You will manage shipping/receiving, operate a forklift, and prepare documents.

This role requires forklift experience, ERP familiarity, attention to detail, and accuracy with FEFO inventory and cycle counts. High school diploma preferred; 12-hour shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Experience with shipping/receiving and knowledge of BOLs and warehouse practices.
• Prior experience in the food industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving of products and materials.
• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, packaging, finished product and other materials.
• Load 53 foot trailers with a lift truck.
• Accurately complete trailer inspections as well as material inspections for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Use a computer and company systems to track all material movement transactions.
• Create barcode tags for new materials.
• Print and prepare all shipping documents for outbound loads.
• File shipping and receiving paperwork.
• Manage weekly truck schedule.
• Combine partial pallets to optimize shipping weights.
• Monitor stock rotation ensuring FEFO principles are used when shipping finished goods.
• Perform routine cycle counts on finished goods and materials.
• Follow detailed processes for assigned work to ensure proper completion.
• Observe all GMP, Food Safety, and Employee Safety requirements.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for an entire shift - 12 hours
• Must be able to safely lift to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to get on and off a forklift in a safe manner multiple times per shift

Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Technical / Trade School preferred

Experience

• Prior forklift/material handling experience in a manufacturing environment, 1 year or more preferred
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
• Experience with shipping and receiving and good understanding of BOLs, seals and general warehouse practices
• Prior experience working in the food industry is preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
• Ability to plan work and manage multiple priorities at once
• Ability to anticipate problems related to shipping & receiving and solve them as as they arise
• Computer skills (data entry and ERP systems in a production environment)
• Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take/record measurements and understand tare weight)
