Job summary

Bel Brands in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a Volpak Machine Operator for the D Shift (Thu-Sat, every other Wed, 7pm-7am) with a $4 shift differential. You will operate FFS equipment, monitor production, and ensure packaging accuracy.

The role requires standing 12 hours, lifting up to 40 lbs, and following GMP and safety policies. Prior manufacturing or food-industry experience preferred; English communication and ERP data-entry skills are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Comfort with ERP systems and data entry.

Job Title: Volpak Operator

Location: Nampa, ID

This position is for our D Shift, Thursday-Saturday, every other Wednesday from 7pm-7am. There is a $4 differential for this shift.

Job Summary

As a Volpak Machine Operator for Materne, North America you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the FFS (form, fill, seal) equipment for our manufacturing process.

Position Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
• Lift and add rolls of packaging film into machine
• Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
• Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
• Document all necessary supply inventories
• Operate industrial carts and forklifts in a safe manner
• Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
• Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
• Complete daily paperwork and reports
• Perform and complete sensory testing on the line
• Demonstrate the Company’s values and winning behaviors while adhering to all company policies and practices, including safety and environmental protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12- hours)
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per shift

Education

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Technical / Trade School preferred

Experience

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus

Knowledge/Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
• Mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
• Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take measurements and understand tare weight).
