Responsabilidades

• Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes safely.
• Move material through the warehouse according to work orders.
• Organize pull tickets according to location and material type; retrieve material from inventory.
• Measure material with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Record inventory discrepancies and ensure correct material pulled for production.
• Stage completed orders for shipping and loading; prepare and dispose of scrap.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.

Material Handler

2nd Shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM) Southington, CT

Job Summary

Yarde Metals is looking for a material handler to join our Operations Team. A material handler moves material throughout the warehouse by safely operating a forklift, side loader, and overhead crane. The material handler selects material according to work order instructions.

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Organize pull tickets according to location and material type and retrieve material from inventory racking system..
• Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes).
• Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Transport and locate material into the inventory racking system.
• Deliver material to designated saw locations for processing.
• Record and report any inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure the correct material was pulled for machine operators.
• Tag and return material drops from processed jobs into appropriate locations.
• Stage completed orders in appropriate shipping and loading zones for delivery.
• Prepare and dispose of scrap.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications
