Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Material Handler to support regulated warehouse operations, focusing on loading/unloading, inventory control, and random audits. The role involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and data entry to ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes.

The position is with CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, following a 1st shift schedule (6am–6pm) with a rotating weekend cycle and steady safety protocols in a regulated facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; up to 2 years of related experience.
• 5+ years forklift experience; forklift certification on the job.
• Experience in GMP/pharmaceutical or regulated warehouse environment is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to operate forklift safely and efficiently.

• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise from cars or trucks.
• Operate manual and motorized ride-on pallet jack.
• Pack and unpack shipments; process, scan, and shelve parts; enter data into inventory systems.

Aboutthe Role

Asa CBRE Material Handler, you’ll provide service and support to a regulated, such as Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing warehouse by handling shipping and receiving tasks.

This job supports the Supply Chain function. They are responsible for improving the efficiency of the organization’s supply chain.

This is a 1st shift opportunity with day hours which are 6am to 6pm Monday through Thursday with a rotation of working Friday through Sunday every other week for both shifts (2,2,3 shift rotation) with every other weekend off.

Whatyou’ll Do

• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise or material from cars or trucks.
• Will operate manual and motorized ride on pallet jack.
• Help pack and unpack shipments. This includes processing, scanning, and shelving parts, pulling orders, and entering data into the inventory control systems.
• Operating forklift for loading and unloading trucks.
• Maintain clean and safe working environments. Sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain upkeep of stockroom and other storage areas and merge existing stock to improve space usage.
• Perform labeling of materials under required procedures.
• Audit warehouse inventory reports using physical checks to ensure accurate system accounting.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and mentorship.

Whatyou’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience or GED or equivalent experience with up to 2 years of job-related experience. Should hold 5+ years of forklifting experience and will certify while on the job.
• Experience with warehouse with Good Manufacturing Practices/ GMP Materials & Pharmaceutical environment is a plus but not required.
• Forklift experience is required; candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
• Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
