Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Material Handler to support movement of products and lab supplies in a pharmaceutical setting. You will manage pallet prep, wrap removal, and shipment preparation while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Daily forklift checks and training maintenance are required.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED with 2-3 years of related experience, physical endurance for heavy lifting, and strong Microsoft Office skills. CBRE values safety and teamwork.

  • Physical ability to stoop, stand, climb and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly to team members.
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills with independent decision-making.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate movement of product, materials, and label control items.
  • Pallet prep and removal of wrap and corner boards.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and safety compliance.
  • Perform daily forklift warehouse inspections and maintain PPE.
  • Replenish material staging areas and wrap palletized products for shipment.
  • Support safety and environmental requirements and certifications.

About The Role

As a CBRE material handler you will perform general Material Handling activities including Support Movement of products and supplies in and around a Laboratory setting at a pharmaceutical company. This could include Chemicals, Lab supplies and pressurized gas cylinders as well as other duties.

Relationship

Reports to Supervisor, Material Handling.

What You Will Do
  • Timely & accurate movement of semi-finished & finished product, components, & label control material & production-related materials
  • Pallet prep.
  • Removal of wrap and corner boards.
  • Ability to work 8 hr. shifts.
  • Material staging area replenishment.
  • Wrapping of palletized product in preparation for shipment.
  • Daily inspections of the forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, & freezer.
  • Maintain up to date training status.
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain up to date Powered industrial truck certifications.
  • Trash removal.
Safety
  • Maintain and promote a Safety performance culture that is best in class.
  • Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work area.
  • Understand the operation, inspection, and daily maintenance of powered Industrial trucks
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
  • Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.
  • Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.
  • Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.
  • General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. or complicated information within the team.
