Job summary

CBRE is seeking a material handler to move products and supplies in a laboratory setting at a pharmaceutical site. You will handle chemicals, lab supplies, and pressurized gas cylinders while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include pallet prep, material staging, wrapping for shipment, daily forklift inspections, and ensuring accurate, timely movement of production materials. A high school diploma and physical fitness are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of routines, procedures, and systems required.
  • Ability to explain detailed information clearly to the team.
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills without supervisory approval.
  • MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

  • Timely & accurate movement of semi-finished & finished product, components, & label control material & production-related materials.
  • Pallet prep and removal of wrap and corner boards.
  • Operate 8 hr shifts and replenish material staging area.
  • Wrap palletized product for shipment and inspect forklifts daily.
  • Maintain training status and follow safety and environmental requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain powered industrial truck certifications; trash removal.

About The Role

As a CBRE material handler you will perform general Material Handling activities including Support Movement of products and supplies in and around a Laboratory setting at a pharmaceutical company. This could include Chemicals, Lab supplies and pressurized gas cylinders as well as other duties.

As a CBRE material handler you will perform general Material Handling activities including Support Movement of products and supplies in and around a Laboratory setting at a pharmaceutical company. This could include Chemicals, Lab supplies and pressurized gas cylinders as well as other duties.

Relationship

Reports to Supervisor, Material Handling.

What You Will Do
  • Timely & accurate movement of semi-finished & finished product, components, & label control material & production-related materials
  • Pallet prep.
  • Removal of wrap and corner boards.
  • Ability to work 8 hr. shifts.
  • Material staging area replenishment.
  • Wrapping of palletized product in preparation for shipment.
  • Daily inspections of the forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, & freezer.
  • Maintain up to date training status.
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain up to date Powered industrial truck certifications.
  • Trash removal.

  • Maintain and promote a Safety performance culture that is best in class.
  • Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work area.
  • Understand the operation, inspection, and daily maintenance of powered Industrial trucks.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
  • Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.
  • Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.
  • Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.
  • General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. or complicated information within the team.
