Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations and move goods to production areas, ensuring a smooth flow to the floor. The role may involve forklift operation if certified, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a warehouse setting.

The position is outdoors/warehouse based with a pay rate of $18.25–$20.55 per hour DOE. Candidates must be at least 18 and no experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency preferred, but not required.
• No experience required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Unload donations from containers and move goods to appropriate production areas.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for further processing.
• Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Use cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards or accidents.
• Operate forklift when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.
• Minors are not allowed to use heavy machinery or compactors.
