Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill in Mount Vernon, WA seeks a Material Handler to unload donations and move goods to the production area. This non-exempt role reports to the Material Handler Supervisor in the Production department.

Pay rate is $17.13 per hour. Duties include sorting salvage from salable items, preparing donations for processing, maintaining safety, and supporting warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• No experience required.
• Seattle Goodwill forklift certification optional, if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Unload donations from containers and move goods to production areas.
• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for processing.
• Provide smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Operate cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies and a clean work environment.
• Follow safety practices and report hazards.
• Support customer satisfaction and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
