Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington seeks a Material Handler to join the Production department. The role unloads donations, moves goods to production areas, and supports warehouse operations in an outdoors/warehouse setting.

Pay rate is $17.13 per hour; candidates must be 18+ and able to lift 30–40 pounds, with safe work practices emphasized. Forklift duties may apply if certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Forklift certification optional; must meet eligibility requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into bins for processing.
• Provide smooth flow of goods to production floor.
• Operate cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies and a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards.
• Assist with forklift duties when certified according to Seattle Goodwill standards.
