Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts distribution center in the United States is seeking an advanced operator to perform diverse material handling duties that support inbound, outbound, returns, Ocomm, City Counter, and acquisitions operations. You will move merchandise, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold productivity, quality, and safety standards.

The role requires operating RF scanners, WMS, voice-picking systems, and other warehouse technologies, while following established procedures and safe work

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately match numerical and alphabetical information.
• Follows established operational, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain safe work environment, including lifting, moving, and handling merchandise.
• Willingness to learn warehouse systems, RF technology, and operational processes.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction.
• Ability to support training and development of team members when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, sort, stock, pick, pack, stage, and ship merchandise accurately and efficiently.
• Match item numbers, quantities, manifests, freight bills, and shipping documentation with physical merchandise.
• Process inbound shipments, outbound orders, store returns, warranty merchandise, acquisitions inventory, and vendor return according to policy.
• Operate RF scanners, handheld devices, voice-picking systems, WMS, and other warehouse technology as required.
• Properly store and retrieve merchandise from floor locations, shelving, racking systems, and reserve storage areas.
• Load and unload trailers, containers, route trucks, and freight shipments while ensuring merchandise is secured and protected from damage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through scanning, labeling, auditing, staging, and discrepancy resolution procedures.
• Rebox, relabel, sort, and prepare merchandise for shipment or inventory placement as needed.
• Process warranty merchandise, batteries, recalls, non-stock items, unsaleable merchandise, and vendor return goods according to policy.
• Follow hazardous material handling and disposal procedures per safety standards.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while completing tasks and workflows.
• Keep work areas organized and safe.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report concerns promptly.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Serve as a designated trainer in assigned areas when needed.
• Operate PIE when certified and assigned.
• Perform Ocomm or City Counter functions when assigned.
• Support workflow balancing and operational continuity during peak volumes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
