Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Material Handler II to focus on receiving, picking and put away of inventory at our Waltham, MA site. The role requires applying established procedures to complete tasks as a level two technician within a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 1–3 years in stockroom/shipping/receiving, a High School Diploma, and familiarity with MRP systems and Microsoft Office are preferred. The position may involve forklift operation and requires attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Lead-by-example tactical change agent with strong interpersonal skills.
• Attentiveness to detail is a must.
• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.
• Computer Skills: All Microsoft Applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders, invoices and work orders.
• Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Lifts up to 50lbs. and may operate a forklift.
• Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Prepares kitting packages for assembly production.
• Cycle count inventory to ensure accuracy. Uses root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies.
