Job summary

Hillman Group in the United States is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment. The role supports operations by loading/unloading, picking, stacking, and replenishing at workstations.

The ideal candidate has forklift certification, basic material handling experience, and the ability to follow verbal/written instructions. Standing on concrete, lifting up to 70 lbs, and exposure to loud noise are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Uses hand scanner and RF equipment to support material movement.
• Picks and stocks correct products to boxes and pick locations.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.

Job Summary

Schedule Hours: 3:30pm - 1:00am (Monday-Thursday) & 12:30pm - 5:30pm (Friday)

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.50 + $Shift Differential

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger
