Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler in California for an evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:45 PM). You will move materials and finished products using powered equipment, ensuring timely replenishment to workstations and accurate stock placement across the facility.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, operating a pallet jack and forklift, using handheld RF devices, and maintaining orderly stock locations. Forklift certification is required and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.

• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.

• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Reports other problems to manager.

Essential Job Functions *

• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
