Job summary

Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products within the facility using pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners. You will load/unload trucks, pick, stock, and transfer items to designated areas, ensuring accuracy and timely replenishment to workstations.

Strong attention to safety and ability to read verbal/written instructions are required. Standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 70 lbs, and working on concrete floors are typical.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Forklift certification required and ongoing safety adherence.
• Experience with material handling and warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Ability to operate hand scanners and read instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates powered industrial equipment including forklift and pallet jack.
• Loads and unloads trucks and transfers products to designated areas.
• Uses hand-held RF scanners for inventory and location updates.
• Picks, stocks, and replenishes materials to workstations timely.
• Transfers finished products to prescribed areas and stacks pallets.
• Reports issues to supervisor and follows safety rules.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
