Job summary

The Hillman Group in the United States is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment. This role requires hands-on handling and attention to safety in a fast-paced facility located in Mississippi.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, stocking and replenishing materials, operating pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers and RF scanners, and ensuring accurate picking and transfers to designated

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
  • Able to operate pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

  • Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Ability to use a hand scanner.
  • Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
  • Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.
  • Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
  • Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
  • Transfers finished products to designated areas.
  • Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
  • Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
  • Reports problems to manager and resolves basic issues.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *
  • Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
  • Loads and unloads trucks
  • Ability to use a hand scanner
  • Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
  • Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
  • Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
  • Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
  • Transfers finished products to designated areas
  • Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
  • Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Material handling experience is strongly preferred.

Work Environment
Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
