Job summary

Hillman Group in Shafter, CA is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment, load/unload trucks, and replenish workstations. The role requires forklift certification, accuracy in following verbal and written instructions, and the ability to use a handheld RF scanner.

The position is scheduled for 3:00 pm - 11:45 pm, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $20.50 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Uses a hand scanner to track items.
• Picks up incoming materials from Receiving.
• Unloads and stores stock in Bulk storage areas.
• Replenishes materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Picks and stocks correct product to boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets.
• Operates a manual or motorized pallet jack.
• Reports basic operational problems to management.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Scheduled Hours

3:00 pm - 11:45 pm (Monday- Friday)

Hourly Pay Rate

$20.50 + Shift Differential

Essential Job Functions

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
