Job summary

Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. seeks a Material Handler I to join our Memphis, Tennessee team. You will move, pick, pack, and ship materials and parts, supporting first shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, on-site.

The requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with customer service experience, basic shop math, and ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch. Forklift certification is preferred. You will maintain shipping logs, organize the yard, and load/unload trucks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong customer service experience.
• Knowledge of types of carriers, loads and freight lanes as well as load limits.
• High level of competence using Microsoft programs and other systems used in the QC program.
• Must read a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch and perform basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a Daily Shipping Log and distributes daily to management.
• Loads and unloads trucks using a forklift.
• Fulfills pack and ship orders based on leadership direction, coordinating with Production as needed.
• Organizes material in the yard to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
• Disposes of packing material and other trash in the yard.
