Job summary

Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. in Richmond, IL is seeking a Material Handler I to join our team. The role involves moving, picking, packing, and shipping materials while supporting the shipping/receiving process and production coordination.

The position supports the first shift (7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday) and emphasizes safety, organization, and timely order fulfillment in a manufacturing environment. A forklift certification and strong customer service skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong customer service experience.
• Understanding of carriers, loads, and freight lanes as well as load limits.
• Safety-minded and able to apply basic shop math; read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.

Responsibilities

• Move, pick, pack, and ship materials as directed by leadership.
• Maintain a Daily Shipping Log and distribute to management.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Organize the yard to keep the area clean, orderly, and safe.
• Dispose of packing material and trash in the yard.
• Support first shift: 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday.
