Job description

Join to apply for the Material Handler I role at Brentwood Industries, Inc.

Location: Reading, PA

Hours: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and moving materials within the plant, yard, or work site, along with other duties to meet organizational needs.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Read and understand work orders/BOM and follow oral instructions to determine materials needed for production.
2. Operate industrial lift trucks or electric hoists to move materials efficiently.
3. Load and unload materials for production, staging at machinery.
4. Navigate shop floor data collection systems, run reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
5. Complete paperwork, attach labels to materials or containers.
6. Assist with scrap removal, loading cartons, and machine reliefs.
7. Maintain cleanliness, recycle materials appropriately.
8. Support Shipping and Receiving with material movement.
9. Follow Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
10. Comply with company policies, safety, and environmental regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience.
• Tow motor certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical skills: basic arithmetic.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense to instructions and problems.
• Ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented.
