This role involves moving steel using forklifts, loading docks, and crane equipment, while following safety standards and quality requirements. The position requires physical stamina to lift up to 40 pounds, work outdoors in various weather, and coordinate with teams across departments.

Qualifications

• Read work orders and interpret instructions.
• Meet or exceed daily productivity targets.
• Plan and organize work independently and in teams.
• Understand basic product and inventory control procedures.
• Maintain inter-department communication on routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills.
• Possess good customer relations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety methods and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel to/from storage or production areas using appropriate equipment.
• Handle loads within weight limits and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and load configurations.
• Maximize trailer load capacity without compromising safety.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report safety issues.
• Work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Attend required meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
