The role involves moving steel between storage and production areas, attaching lifting devices, and guiding loads with forklifts or cranes.

The position requires physical stamina, the ability to read work orders, and basic math. Team collaboration is essential, and the company offers a solid benefits package and development

Qualifications

• Follow Triple-S safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Safely move steel to/from storage or production areas with equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for short distances and up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Attach slings, hooks, or devices to lifts and tie down loads.
• Read and interpret work orders or oral instructions accurately.
• Meet minimum productivity levels established by the company.
• Work independently or in teams and plan activities with minimal supervision.
• Develop knowledge of product and inventory control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety methods and notify supervisor of hazards.
• Move steel using hand, forklift, or crane and secure loads.
• Lift and maneuver heavy materials daily in varying conditions.
• Maximize load capacity on trailers without compromising safety.
• Maintain all tools and equipment and report issues promptly.
• Work indoors/outdoors in weather and site conditions.
• Attend required meetings and support cross-department communication.
• Read orders and determine material or equipment needs.
• Contribute to meeting productivity goals and quality requirements.
