Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations across SBP brands. The role focuses on receiving, picking, staging, and returning items using equipment as required, with attention to accuracy and safety.

The candidate should hold a GED/HS diploma and have at least four years of related experience with powered industrial trucks. Proficiency with computers is required, and valid certifications for equipment like order picker or forklift are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Four plus years related experience and prior certifications on powered industrial trucks.
• Use of computers required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, pick, stage load or return correct warehouse items using equipment as required.
• Read production work orders and scan and stage material accordingly; inspect for accuracy.
• Use equipment to load product on delivery trucks when required.
• Move damaged or non-conforming items to reclaim or return to vendor.
• Maintain certification and operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts, swing-reach, and/or order picker.
• Perform daily inspections of powered industrial equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in all tasks and keep docks tidy and organized.
