Aerotek is hiring a Material Handler in Ocala, FL to manage inbound and outbound shipments and support material movement to production in a climate-controlled facility. The role emphasizes accurate inventory flow and timely material delivery in a fast-paced warehouse.

The position is first shift, with a contract-to-hire pathway and pay around $16.50 per hour. Forklift experience is required to operate sit-down and stand-up models safely.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Experience operating forklifts (sit-down and stand-up) and pallet jacks.
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments with packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Move materials to production areas to support operations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
• Operate forklifts and stand-up lifts.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Report discrepancies or shipment issues to leadership.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Material movement is ~50% equipment operation and ~50% manual handling.

Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments while supporting internal material movement to production areas. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory flow and timely delivery of materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

• Move materials to and from production areas to support operations.

• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts as needed.

• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and stand-up lifts.

• Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

• Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or shipment issues to leadership.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

• Material movement may consist of approximately 50% equipment operation and 50% manual handling.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models.

• Experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, inventory management, logistics, picking, and packing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to operate pallet jacks.

• Experience in receiving and shipping processes.

• Capability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
