Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing, located in Holland, MI, is seeking a Warehouse/Forklift Operator to support our plant operations on a 6AM-6PM W Shift. You will handle inbound/outbound materials, operate forklifts, maintain inventory accuracy, and support safety and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 1 month related experience, and the ability to work up to 12 hours daily including weekends. Previous forklift and basic computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• Read, write, speak and understand English to safely perform duties.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Previous Hilo driving experience preferred.
• Has high standards of performance for self.
• Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
• Is thorough, accurate, and reliable in tasks; shows integrity.
• Takes action to resolve conflicts by listening and focusing on issues.

Responsibilities

• Observes and complies with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements associated with this job description.
• Participates in needs analysis and attends training and programs identified for this position.
• Participates in independent auditing activities and supports continuous improvement.
• Stops work on processes as appropriate and contains suspect or defective material to avoid further processing.
• Moves levers and pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting device.
• Positions forks or lifting devices under pallets and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by lifting and lowering device.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies workers as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags or schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto/off pallets or lifting device.
• Recharges batteries or replaces liquefied gas tank.
