Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI is seeking a 1st shift forklift operator/material handler. You will ensure on-time deliveries to the correct locations, maintain inventory accuracy, and safely operate a forklift and lifting devices to move pallets and materials.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, ability to read/write/speak English, and 1 month of related experience or training. HiLo driving experience and prior material handling are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• 1 month related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Previous material handling and HiLo driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and complies with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Participates in needs analysis and attends training programs.
• Supports continuous improvement activities.
• Moves levers and pedals to drive forklift and control movement of lifting device.
• Loads/unloads materials onto pallets and transports to designated areas.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies items as needed.
