Job summary

Bay Converting Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Material Handler to support the laminating operation by loading, unloading, and moving fiberglass insulation and facing materials. You will maintain accurate documentation and operate forklifts safely to keep production flowing.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, forklift certification, and at least one year of related experience; good communication, basic computer skills, and a commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Familiarity with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, Bills of Lading, Packing Slips and Picking Lists.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished laminated rolls using forklifts and approved equipment.
• Ensure materials are delivered to production areas in correct order, quantity, and specification.
• Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments per customer and carrier requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through physical counts and ERP entries.
• Conduct quality control checks for product condition, labeling, and documentation accuracy.
• Operate forklifts safely and perform daily safety inspections; report maintenance as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris; assist shipping and production as needed.
