Job summary

Bay Insulation Systems in Memphis, TN is seeking a Material Handler to support production flows for fiberglass insulation and facing materials. You will load, unload, and move materials, document shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy while operating forklifts in a safe environment.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work in a manufacturing setting with standard PPE and OSHA safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Familiarity with fiberglass insulation or metal building insulation manufacturing.
• Ability to read Bills of Lading, Packing Slips and other docs.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Basic computer and inventory system proficiency.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport raw materials using forklifts and approved equipment.
• Ensure materials delivered to production areas in correct order and quantity.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of goods.
• Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments to customers and carriers.
• Verify incoming shipments against POs and packing slips; report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ERP movements.
• Conduct quality control checks on product condition, labeling, and documentation.
• Operate forklifts safely and perform daily safety inspections.
• Keep work areas clean and support on-time order fulfillment.
