Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace is seeking a warehouse/procurement associate to supervise or perform metals processing and distribution tasks in a fast-paced facility in Canton, Ohio. You will operate forklifts, cranes, and band saws, move inventory, and fulfill customer orders with attention to safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have prior warehouse experience, are able to read work orders, use measuring tools, and thrive in a team environment while meeting daily targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, side loaders, or order pickers preferred.
• Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and work order data entry.
• Able to use measuring tools (tape measure, ruler, caliper).
• Strong attention to detail and safety/quality mindset.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
• Able to meet targets and deadlines.
• Positive attitude towards change; motivated and communicative.

Responsibilities

• Supervise or perform metals processing and distribution tasks.
• Operate forklifts, side loaders, order pickers, crane, and band saw.
• Move inventory, fill orders, and unload/load material.
• Tag and document items; transfer stock between locations.
• Inspect quality and safety compliance; follow work instructions and JSA.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse area.
• Data entry into inventory system; read work orders.
