Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Material Handler to support production by moving materials, staging finished goods, and assisting with raw materials receiving. You will operate a forklift, work with a handheld plasma and acetylene torch, and engage in paperwork preparation for on-floor material control.

The role requires a high school diploma, forklift experience, and the ability to follow safety protocols while handling scrap parts and using overhead cranes up to 10 tons. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support production processes on the floor, moving work-in-progress material and finished goods.
• Assist in raw material receiving and material preparation for on-floor management.
• Operate forklift, use handheld plasma, and acetylene torch as needed; assist with overhead crane and rigging.
