Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. Alliance site seeks a Material Handler to safely move and store raw and finished goods. You will operate overhead cranes and tow motors, inspect deliveries, and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, inventory control, loading shipments, and training new hires. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of material handling experience within steel or aluminum manufacturing and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ years material handling in steel/aluminum manufacturing preferred.
• Skills: Safe material handling with tow motors and cranes; read tape measures; basic arithmetic; use hand/power tools; strong communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Safely move materials using cranes, forklifts, or other lifting equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and unload deliveries; complete receiving transactions and interact with ERP.
• Maintain raw material storage and inventory; stage material in work centers.
• Replenish stock materials throughout the day.
• Load transportation trucks; prepare products for shipment with zero defects.
• Report quality issues, near misses, and incidents; comply with safety rules.
• Train new hires and participate in cycle counts.
