Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace in Canton, OH is seeking a Receiver to join our warehouse team. You will receive incoming metal shipments, unload trucks with a forklift, inspect materials against specs, log data into the inventory system, and ensure accurate documentation through the receiving and QA process.

The role supports production schedules and works closely with Quality and Operations to resolve issues. Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, practical forklift experience,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent industry work experience.
• Experience reading and understanding material test reports.
• Forklift experience and ability to unload trucks.
• Basic computer/data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming metal shipments from mills and vendors.
• Unload trucks and containers using a forklift.
• Inspect materials for damage, dimensions, and quality.
• Verify mill test reports meet specifications.
• Enter shipment data into the inventory system.
• Measure materials with calipers and tape measures.
• Complete receiving paperwork and first article inspections.
• Maintain organized warehouse inventory.
• Update work orders with production status.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations to resolve issues.
• Prioritize work to meet production schedules.
