Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas, the world’s largest HVAC company, is hiring for a Shipping/Receiving role in Faribault, MN. The 2nd shift runs 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday-Thursday with potential overtime; weekend option 6AM-6PM Fri-Sun. Starting wage is $25.52 + $2.30 shift differential.

You will handle stock movement, pick/pack, loading, unloading, and inventory control in a climate-controlled facility, with strong growth opportunities and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED required or 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• Able to lift/push/pull, stand, and wear PPE in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Ship/receive stock and finished items, and manage inventory flow.
• Unload inbound materials; inspect, record shortages, and notify shippers.
• Move items between storage, kitting, and production areas; update locations.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure correct inventory levels.
• Select containers and pack/ship parts to prevent damage.
• Load materials onto trucks; secure loads with straps and padding.
• Operate PIT equipment; maintain safety and training.
• Train new team members on machines, procedures, and safety.
• Maintain the 5S program and keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow safety policies; identify and rework defective parts.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for shipping and receivingpurchasedor transferred stock and material and finished items
• Unload incoming materials orpurchasedparts. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, recordshortagesand correspond with Shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to move items into and out of storage, Kittingareaand/or production areas. Maintain necessary information and record for inventory locations on the computer and ensureappropriate flowwith the materials/goods throughout the process
• Perform cycle counting functions to ensure proper inventory levels
• Select containers for parts or products
• Pack and seal parts,coilsor sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids.
• Load materials into/onto trucks and install strapping,bracingor padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Use overhead crane and sheet lifter to load and unload sheet metal tomaintainproper inventory inNighttrain
• Monitor and empty scrap tanks as assigned
• Oversee the incoming materials and kitting process to ensure thatpurchasedpart kits are complete and meet production requirements. Responsible for receiving andissuing ofall material for area. Responsible for setup and documentation flow through assigned area
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts
• Mustexhibitattention to detail with a focus on quality work
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent itemsregardingsafety,qualityand production
• Responsible formaintainingthe 5s program to ensure a clean work area
• Follow and understandHOMESafe, Personal Choice andcompany safety manualrequirements.
• Identifyand rework defective work pieces tocomply withquality standards.
• Ability to use hand tools
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License
• All other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
