Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking applicants for a 2nd shift role in Minnesota. The position involves shipping and receiving materials, maintaining inventory, and ensuring accurate workflow from intake to production. A valid PIT license and the ability to operate overhead cranes are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ship/receive stock and materials, including finished items.
• Unload incoming materials; inspect for damage; record shortages and coordinate with shippers.
• Move items using stored locations, maintain inventory records, and ensure proper flow of materials.
• Perform cycle counts to verify inventory levels.
• Package and secure parts for shipment; load materials and use strapping as needed.
• Operate overhead crane and PIT equipment; maintain 5S in assigned area.
• Support setup, documentation, and safety procedures; train new team members.

Starting Wage: $25.52 + $2.30 shift differential (when working 2nd shift)

Shift: 2nd Shift - 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday - Thursday, some overtime required

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for shipping and receivingpurchasedor transferred stock and material and finished items
• Unload incoming materials orpurchasedparts. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, recordshortagesand correspond with Shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to move items into and out of storage, Kittingareaand/or production areas. Maintain necessary information and record for inventory locations on the computer and ensureappropriate flowwith the materials/goods throughout the process
• Perform cycle counting functions to ensure proper inventory levels
• Select containers for parts or products
• Pack and seal parts,coilsor sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids.
• Load materials into/onto trucks and install strapping,bracingor padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Use overhead crane and sheet lifter to load and unload sheet metal tomaintainproper inventory inNighttrain
• Monitor and empty scrap tanks as assigned
• Oversee the incoming materials and kitting process to ensure thatpurchasedpart kits are complete and meet production requirements. Responsible for receiving andissuing ofall material for area. Responsible for setup and documentation flow through assigned area
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts
• Mustexhibitattention to detail with a focus on quality work
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent itemsregardingsafety,qualityand production
• Responsible formaintainingthe 5s program to ensure a clean work area
• Follow and understandHOMESafe, Personal Choice andcompany safety manualrequirements.
• Identifyand rework defective work pieces tocomply withquality standards.
• Ability to use hand tools
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License
• All other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
