Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a 2nd shift Assembly Technician in Faribault North. You will identify unit options, align parts, and assemble sheet metal products per engineering drawings in a climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include using hand tools, following wiring schematics, training new members, and maintaining 5S and safety standards. This role offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret English instructions and drawings.
• Ability to use hand tools for extended periods.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify unit options using bill of materials to complete required work content.
• Align, clamp and position work pieces using jigs and vices to match drawings.
• Clean work pieces to remove debris with brushes or grinders.
• Apply heat, alloys and nitrogen to produce assemblies efficiently.
• Set up and handle tanks, torches, hoses and regulators ensuring safety and quality.
• Complete assembly to support production standards.
• Read blueprints to identify parts and assembly methods.
• Use production support tools effectively (VKS, AMS).
• Learn all line stations and follow wiring schematics.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identifyunit options usingbillof materials to completerequiredwork content per unit

• Ability to use production support tools effectively (VKS, AMS, etc.)
• Mustlearn and understand all line stations
• Read and follow wiring schematics. Complete company provided wiring training andachievecertification
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent itemsregardingsafety,qualityand production
• Responsible formaintainingthe 5s program to ensure a clean work area
• Follow and understandHOMESafe, Persona Choice and company safety manual requirements.
• Identifyand rework defective work pieces tocomply withquality standards
• Read and interpretblue prints, sketches or product specifications todeterminesequence and methods of fabricating,assemblingand installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements
• Ability to use hand tools
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License
• Obtain Certification in leak testing and vacuum and charge
• All other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read and understand written English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
