Job summary

Daikin Applied in Faribault, MN is seeking a skilled individual for a manufacturing role that requires assembly, quality assurance, and safety compliance. The successful candidate will work second shift and ensure quality standards while training new team members.

Responsibilities

• Identify unit options using bill of materials to complete required work content.
• Complete assembly to support production standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure quality standards are met.
• Train new members on various machines and procedures.
• Maintain the 5S program for a clean work area.

Job description

Starting Wage: $28.44/hr + $2.30/hr when working 2nd shift

Shift: 2nd shift Monday-Thursday, 5pm-3:30am and Weekend shift Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm

Your Responsibilities:

• Identify unit options using bill of materials to complete required work content per unit.
• Complete assembly of work content to support production standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure quality standards are met by effectively identifying parts and assembling unit.
• Use production support tools effectively (VKS, AMS, etc.).
• Learn and understand all linestations.
• Read and follow wiring schematics. Complete company-provided wiring training and achieve certification.
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production.
• Maintain the 5S program to ensure a clean work area.
• Follow and understand HomeSafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.
• Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements.
• Use hand tools.
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) and obtain a PIT license.
• Obtain certification in leak testing and vacuum and charge.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read and understand written English.
• High School Education/GED or minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
