Job summary

Switchgear Power Systems is seeking a Material Handler/Fab Tech for Weekday 2nd Shift at 202 W Enterprise Road, Winneconne, WI. The role involves moving materials to support fabrication, loading/unloading sheets from the laser, and assisting presses and welds. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is noted.

Material Handler/Fab Tech – Weekday 2nd Shift

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:15pm - 2:45am

Overall Responsibility:

• Move materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments).
• Load, unload sheets and parts off laser.
• Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs).
• Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc).
• Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.

Key Job Duties (not exhaustive):

• Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc.
• Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
• Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
• Follow company policy and standards.
• Able to operate forklifts and hoists.
• Keep work centers clean and orderly.
• Able to take and follow directives.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience.

Desired Qualities and Attributes:

• Ability to work and function as a team.
• Self-motivated and can work without much supervision.
• Is safety minded and puts safety first while performing job duties and functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour + $3.00 per hour shift differential
