Job summary

Switchgear Power Systems in Wisconsin is seeking a Material Handler/Fab Tech for 1st shift. You will move materials, load/unload from laser, and assist with bending and welding tasks, with a focus on safety and quality. The role is full-time with a competitive hourly wage.

The position requires 2+ years of fabrication/manufacturing experience and forklift operation, plus ability to read measurements and verify specs. Teamwork and reliability are essential.

• Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.

Material Handler/Fab Tech – 1st Shift

Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm

Overall Responsibility

• Move materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments).
• Load, unload sheets and parts off laser.
• Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs).
• Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc).Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.

Key Job Duties (not Exhaustive)

• Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc.
• Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
• Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
• Follow company policy and standards.
• Able to operate forklifts and hoists.
• Keep work centers clean and orderly.Able to take and follow directives.

Required Skills And Experience

• 2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience.
