Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Presta AG in Ohio is seeking a dedicated third-shift tow motor operator to move materials and finished parts using tow motors, hand trucks and related equipment. You will load and unload shipments, move items to correct locations, and prepare products for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks for shipments to warehouse or subcontractors.

• Remove chip and scrap containers to scrap and loading area.
• Lubricate tow motor and move tooling/fixtures.
• Prepare and pack products for shipment; maintain clean, organized areas.
• Report unusual conditions to supervisor; comply with safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY: Operate tow motor, overhead crane, hand trucks and other small material handling equipment to move materials and finished parts throughout the various departments as instructed. This is a 3rd shift position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Load and unload truck for shipments to warehouse or to subcontractors
• Unload forging and other materials as received from vendors
• Unload work for in-process job cards and move materials to proper work locations
• Remove chip and scrap containers to scrap and loading area
• Lubricate tow motor
• Move tooling and other fixtures
• Perform all required duties to prepare and pack products for shipment
• Maintain equipment and other areas in clean and orderly condition; clear aisles and work areas of materials in process
• Report unusual conditions to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective communication and math skills. Reading comprehension and a service orientation mindset.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED. Previous tow motor experience and practices required.

EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
