Job summary

thyssenkrupp rothe erde is seeking a second shift Materials Handler to operate lifts and other material handling equipment to move materials and finished parts across the plant.

You will unload and load shipments, move items to correct work locations, assist with waste removal and uphold all safety regulations in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and tow motor experience preferred.
• Ability to operate lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Comfort with shift work and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, overhead crane, hand trucks, manipulators, and other material handling equipment to move material and finished parts throughout the plant.
• Load and unload shipments to warehouse, subcontractors or customers; unload materials from vendors.
• Move materials to proper work locations inside and outside plant.
• Remove trash and scrap containers to proper supervision.
• Move in-process rings with forklift or grab lift manipulator.
• Service material handling equipment as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Observe all company safety regulations.

Your responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Operate lift trucks, overhead crane, hand trucks, manipulators, and all other material handling equipment to move material and finished parts throughout the various departments. This is a second shift position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace.
• Load and unload truck for shipments to warehouse, sub-contractors or to customers. Unload materials as received from vendors.
• Move materials to proper work locations inside and outside plant.
• Remove trash and scrap containers to proper supervision.
• Move in process rings with forklift (or at times with grab lift manipulator) throughout the plant.
• Service material handling equipment as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Observe all company safety regulations

SKILLS, ABILITIES & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and tow motor experience preferred. High school diploma or GED.

EXPORT CONTROL

This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
