Job summary

• Perform torque tests and clearance measurements.
• Keep accurate inventory of materials and waste removal.
• Coordinate with supervisor and vendors as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition; comply with 6S safety.

Your responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: Assemble a variety of new and refurbished slewing bearings. This is a 3rd shift position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Assembly and inspection on all models of slewing bearings and other necessary assembly work
• Operate bridge crane, computer and programs, specialized hand tools, measuring equipment, etc.
• Must have ability to read and understand prints, work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Perform torque tests and various clearance measurements
• Keep inventory count of material
• Manage waste removal from department
• Communicate department needs with supervisor
• Work professionally with outside vendors and customers
• Maintain equipment and tools to proper working order
• Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed
• Perform 6S safety responsibilities in work area
• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective communication skills required. Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware / software.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED. Previous machining experience and practices required. Blueprint and GD&T knowledge is necessary.

EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorizaton from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
