Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. is seeking a motivated Material Handler for the 2nd shift to move steel, follow safety standards, achieve daily productivity goals, and assist with routine and non-routine maintenance.

You will operate forklift, overhead crane, and measuring tools, read work orders, and work indoors/outdoors in all weather, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine material needs
• Safely operate tools and equipment listed in the role
• Demonstrate basic math skills for work orders and measurements
• Maintain safety and quality standards while handling materials

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work and report unsafe conditions
• Move steel to/from storage using forklift, crane, or manual methods
• Lift up to 50 pounds over various distances and maintain ergonomics
• Configure loads and maximize trailer capacity while ensuring safety
• Maintain tools and equipment including measuring devices and PPE
• Read and interpret work orders and plan material handling tasks
• Collaborate with team and other departments to ensure timely material flow
• Attend required company meetings and perform other duties as assigned
