Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our team. The role focuses on safety, daily productivity, quality, and supporting routine maintenance activities.

Responsibilities include safely moving steel, loading/unloading with forklifts or cranes, tying loads, and configuring routes. Lifting up to 50 pounds, working indoors/outdoors in all weather, and following safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read work orders or receive instructions to determine material or equipment needs.
• Ability to safely meet or exceed productivity levels established by the company.
• Ability to plan and organize work activities independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Maintain inter-department communication related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report any unsafe conditions.
• Safely move steel to/from storage or production areas using hand, forklift, overhead crane or other equipment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet and work up to 5 miles per day.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and configure load based on planned route.
• Maximize load capacity on trailers without compromising safety.
• Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment and report safety issues promptly.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attend required company meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
